Abstract

Higher education in the Professional field should intend to impart pedagogy with emphasis on Experiential learning. There are various ways of implementing experiential learning which are Simulation Exercises, Management Games, Role Play, interactive learning with dialogues, Blended Learning along with digital technology, internship experience, video capsules, intelligent tutoring systems, Business Games, etc. Generation Z students would like to engage in certain activities to reinforce their conceptual knowledge, which they expect from the facilitator.  The traditional classroom methods of lecture don’t interest the students with high distraction from the class focus and this study found that there is a direct correlation between student engagement with Experiential learning. The analysis found that there is a maximum degree of correlation between Experiential Learning and Student Engagement. The second moderate correlation is witnessed between Experiential learning and Internship outcomes with the higher outcome of the interns who got exposure to experiential learning, conducted in the classrooms.

The responses were collected from 408 management graduates and also from the Employers who offered internships to these graduates. There is a correlation that is witnessed between Experiential learning and also with placement outcomes. Experiential learning is significant for an Internship’s successful outcome as the students are able to deliver quality output in the internship process which in turn leads to successful placement outcomes. Internship outcome success is contributed by Experiential learning and is also significant in Student engagement with some of the internships leading to pre-placement offers
