- You must use the latest version of the APA system for both writing, citations, tables and the bibliographic reference system.
- Along with the submission of the manuscript, a brief CV of the main author and the document entitled "Declaration of responsibilities of the authors" (see info below) signed by all authors must be sent.
- To verify originality, your article will be reviewed by the Crossref Similarity Check originality detection service.
2. Structure of the manuscript
- Title. Brief and informative. The title must be in the original language and in English. Avoid abbreviations and formulas when possible.
- Author names and affiliations. The first names and last names of each author must be clearly indicated along with their ORCID number. In addition, the institutional affiliation of each one is indicated along with their email.
- Summary . It consists of a paragraph that synthesizes the manuscript emphasizing the methodology, the results and the conclusions. It must be submitted in the original language and in English.
- Keywords. Immediately after the summary, a maximum of 5 keywords is provided. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
- Traditional sections This varies according to the case, but in general the works will have an introduction, objectives, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.
- Boards. They are sent as editable text and not as images. It is recommended that the tables be integrated into the text and not at the end. The tables are numbered according to the order in which they are presented.
3. Document “Declaration of responsibilities of the authors”
Together with the submission of the manuscript, the authors must complete and attach a document entitled "Declaration of responsibilities of the authors". This document includes the following elements to take into account:
1) Authorship and contribution of authors declaration
Article authorship. Authorship is understood only for people who have made a significant contribution to the final product (see contribution for authors below).
Authorship responsibility. Authors should carefully select the order of appearance of their names in the work submitted. The first author will be considered the principal author and, unless otherwise specified, will be responsible for correspondence with the journal. After the article was sent, changes can only be made to that list, both in order and in adding or removing authors, with a letter addressed to the Editorial Board and explaining the reasons for the changes.
Authors' contributions. For reasons of transparency, the different contribution roles are ordered in the following categories: Conception and work design; Data acquisition; Analysis and interpretation of data; Manuscript writing; and Critical review of the manuscript. Together with the ORCID identification code, authors are requested to differentiate their contributions.
2) Copyright and Licensing
Those authors who have publications with this journal accept the following terms:
- The authors will retain their copyrights and guarantee the journal the right of first publication of their work, which will be simultaneously subject to the Creative Commons Recognition License that allows third parties to share the work provided that its author is indicated and Your first publication in this journal.
- Authors may adopt other non-exclusive license agreements for the distribution of the version of the published work provided that the initial publication in this journal is indicated.
- Authors are allowed and recommended to disseminate their work through the Internet after the publication process, which can produce interesting exchanges and increase citations of the published work. (See The effect of open access).
3) Declaration of interests
All authors must report any financial and personal link with third parties or organizations that may condition or bias the work. If there is any link of any kind, it must be declared. It should be clarified what the source of funding was, at what time the job was requested and how it impacted the job. This statement will go with the article in case it is published.
4) Publication Ethics
To submit an article all authors must agree with the following points:
- I declare that my work is original and the product of my research.
- I declare that I have read the section entitled "Plagiarism and anti-plagiarism system" on the journal's website and that I understand the journal's plagiarism policy.
- I declare (and attached proof) that my work has had the approval of the Ethics Committee of my corresponding institution if she requires it during the investigation with human beings.
- I declare that I have used informed consent for the investigation and / or publication of images.
- I declare that the research data is available and I understand that it may be requested by the authorities of the journal for public disclosure.
- I declare to know that if at any time during the publication or after the publication of the article an author finds an error in his article, he will contact the Responsible Editor to correct or withdraw the article.
4. Evaluation of the article.
a) Evaluation process
- Before sending the manuscript to the arbitrators, the journal uses the antiplag system of Similarity Check. In case of plagiarism detection, the guidelines proposed by COPE.
- The review system is double blind (see below).
- Research acceptance may be granted; acceptance with suggestions or rejection of articles. The results should be prepared in the review by at least two blind evaluating pairs. The results will be reported to the lead author by the Editor in Chief.
- The order of the publications is at the discretion of the Editorial Board. If there are conflicts of interest between the authors and certain national or foreign experts, the former will declare it when sending the article, indicating the name of the people who do not wish to participate in the arbitration process. This information will be handled strictly confidential.
- The selected works will be property of the journal and published, unless the principal author submits in writing the decision to withdraw the article for publication.
- The evaluation process consists of 3 stages in a total of approximately 12 -15 weeks
- Editor in Chief's review (1st to 3rd week)
- Editorial Board Review (4th week)
- Review and return of referees (5th to 12th-15th week)
- Rewriting by the author (according to the proposed changes) with change control sheet.
- Final approval by the arbitrators and / or the Editor in Chief
- b) Arbitration: Double blind system
Peer Evaluation Process
- The Editorial Committee decides without knowing the author of the article, if the subject of the work coincides with the editorial line of the journal.
- Once approved, it is sent anonymously to two arbitrators for evaluation. These arbitrators do not know the identity of the author and the author cannot know the identity of the arbitrators. This is known as a "double blind" system.
- The referees will have one month to evaluate the article. After this period, they make their observations according to these possibilities:
*Publish as is
*Publish with suggestions
*Review according to the proposed modifications and forward to be reconsidered
*Do not publish
In all cases the arbitrators complete an evaluation form and write a report that supports it. This report is sent to the author, who introduces the modifications if they are required. Finally, the arbitrators confirm that the modified text contemplates the observations made.
- The opinion is communicated to the authors within a period not exceeding 60 days from the receipt of the work. The total process takes approximately 5 to 6 months.
The arbitration system uses external evaluators from the Editor and Reviewers of the journal. Articles submitted to Current Educational Research may not be nominated simultaneously for publication in other journals.
The Editor in Chief is responsible for the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the articles. Their decision is final.
5. Plagiarism and anti-plagiarism system
Current Educational Research uses Crossref's Similarity Check to review all articles before being sent to arbitrators.
The journal follows the COPE guidelines for both authorship and plagiarism situations. See conditions at: https://publicationethics.org/
In case of doubt and plagiarism detection in the articles, the journal's policy is:
- If there is plagiarism prior to the evaluation process, depending on the degree and severity, the article may be rejected or the modifications requested.
- If there is plagiarism during the evaluation of the article, you will contact all the authors of the article explaining the situation. The article may be rejected or the relevant modifications requested.
6. Complaints, declarations, appeals and post-publication policies
If there is any complaint against the journal, its staff, editorial, board or editor, we will proceed by sending an email to the Editor in Chief at edchief@educationalresearch.info,
In case there is a conflict with an article already published, the post-publication debate is recommended both on your site, and through letters to the editor or an external moderator.
