Abstract

The performance of SOEs is generally poor and assessed using inadequate accounting and financial methods. The objective of this study is to determine whether Cameroonian public enterprises create value. To achieve this, we adopted the qualitative approach and we used the global productivity surplus model developed in 1966 by the Center for the Study of French Revenue and Credits. The sampling technique used is that by reasoned choice on 24 public enterprises in Cameroon. Theresults show that public enterprises in Cameroon create value.
