Abstract

Motitivation is important element that affect students performance ability, lecturers should therefor labor to find out values and attitudes that affect motivation of their students so that neccesery actions can be taken to ensure students successful and enjoyerble learning experience. this paper report results of a case study conducted at Federal college of Education, Zaria, regarding values and attitudes that affect students performances toword learning of mathematics, a quetionnaire of a dozen questions was used in the case study to abtain imput from a sample of 200 students who are at various level of their studies. the result abtain show that good teaching, good grades and good job conciousness to be the major motivators for our students.
